Sheet Metal Worker

Sheet metal shop serving the HVAC industry is looking to hire a sheet metal layout worker/fabricator. Previous experience in a similar position is an asset, however, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team. The Metal Worker will be responsible for performing various duties related to metal fabrication and assembly. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Duties:

- Perform quality inspections on metal parts and components

- Operate machining equipment such as press brake machines, lathes, milling machines, and laser cutting machines

- Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and weld metal pieces

- Assemble metal parts according to blueprints and specifications

- Operate cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials

- Conduct basic maintenance on machinery and equipment

- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment

Experience:

- Previous experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred

- Proficiency in operating press brake machines, lathes, milling machines, and laser cutting machines

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes

- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Forklift certification is a plus
