We are currently looking for an Assistant II/Sr Network Planning to work in our Houston, TX location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Network Analyst II/Senior is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure to support the organization's operational needs. Leveraging extensive expertise in routing, network design, and advanced configurations of Cisco and Fortinet equipment, this role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of network systems. The analyst will troubleshoot complex network issues, manage network performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and technological advancements. This position plays a key role in maintaining high standards for network architecture and ensuring seamless connectivity across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

Proficiency in routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP for network optimization and troubleshooting.

– Experience in designing scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures.

– Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

– Extensive knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, VPN solutions, and other Fortinet security appliances.

– Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in both LAN and WAN environments.

– Understanding of network security protocols and best practices, including firewall configurations and VPN management.

Strong understanding of IP addressing schemes, subnets, and IP routing.

Experience with managing network-related projects from inception to completion.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, and Fortinet certifications like NSE 4 or NSE 5.

Knowledge of network automation tools or scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.) to streamline network operations.

Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid network configurations (AWS, Azure, etc.).

– Experience with wireless network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience with QoS configuration and implementation to prioritize traffic for critical applications.
