About The Permian

Straddling West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico over an area roughly the size of Kansas, the Permian is the most prolific oil and gas basin in America and the engine behind the country’s energy renaissance. Nationally, it provides about 40% of oil and 15% of gas production and plays a critical role in making the U.S. a leading energy exporter.

A key asset for ExxonMobil, the Basin accounts for about 40% of the Corporation’s net oil and gas production in the U.S. in 2021, with significant future growth potential. Production reached more than 550,000 barrels per day in 2022 and is expected to surpass 800,000 barrels per day by 2027. Many of these molecules travel down to ExxonMobil’s facilities along the Gulf of Mexico, where they are transformed into high-value finished products such as jet fuel and lubricants. The Permian Basin business unit also has the distinction of being the first at ExxonMobil to unveil and execute a plan for net zero Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions in operated assets by 2030, as part of the Corporation’s broader 2050 net zero ambition.

What Role You Will Play In Our Team

•

Challenging environment of enhancing safety, continued progression of digital technology, workflow efficiency, and building/trending data analytics for root cause failure analysis.

•

Collaboration with internal subject matter experts and external vendors with a focus on improving reliability and profit.

•

Provide workflows, schedules, and progress trends for management.

What You Will Do

•

Build analytics for root cause failure analysis

•

Schedule preventive maintenance to meet regulatory compliance and reliability expectations

•

Review and monitor workflows, forms, and potential efficiency gains in the software programs

•

Know scope of work for safety impacts along with production impacts

•

Work with internal experts and third party vendors to enhance current technology, bolt on other current software programs, and view new technology

About You Skills and Qualifications

•

5+ years prior industrial experience in Planning and/or Scheduling optimization

•

Develop documentation associated with maintenance while communicating and tracking maintenance expenses

•

Experience using scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or equivalent

•

Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills

•

Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence

•

Demonstrations of leadership and mentoring abilities

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

•

5 years prior experiences in oil and gas industry is preferred

•

Willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures

•

Possess a valid driver's license with safe driving skills
