Assembler/Production Worker

Job Summary

FDI Poultry Equipment is a leading manufacturer of poultry cage systems for farms across North America and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with the daily operations within our manufacturing environment.

We are looking for someone with experience assembling equipment and operating machinery. You should be able to read drawings and have strong problem-solving skills. The work is hands-on and varied. Some experience in machining/part processing is required.

Responsibilities

- Pivot between many key functions including: assembly, machining, processing material, and preparing pallets for shipping

- Daily operation of machinery including: impact wrenches, grinders, nibblers forklift, drill press, machining with mill/lathe.

- Problem-solving BOM and drawing issues if they come up

- Troubleshooting equipment and repairing if necessary.

Requirements

- Proven experience in an assembly/machining role

- Proficient with various equipment: forklift, drill press, machining with mill/lathe,

- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

- Forklift certification is required; willingness to become certified if not currently held.

Helpful to have:

- Warehouse experience

- Shipping/packaging experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
