Arborist

Overview Carter Brothers Ltd is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Arborist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tree care and removal services while maintaining high safety standards and providing excellent service to clients. This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Certification and specialized equipment experience are considered strong assets.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Safely operate power saws and tree care equipment in accordance with workplace safety regulations

- Perform tree pruning, removals, and general arboriculture duties

- Haul brush, logs, and debris from job sites

- Feed and assist with wood chippers safely and efficiently

- Operate grapple trucks and stump grinders as required

- Climb trees when necessary (an asset)

- Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects efficiently

- Maintain a professional, good-tempered attitude at all times

- Communicate professionally with clients and the public on job sites

- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry best practices

Skills

- Previous experience in arboriculture or related field preferred

- Air brake endorsement on a valid driver’s license is an asset and will be required as soon as possible after employment

- ISA Certification is a significant asset

- Strong awareness of workplace safety and hazard prevention

- Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism

- Good communication and public relations skills

- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
