Application Developer II- Finance Systems

Position Description Role Summary

We are looking for a mid-level techno-functional analyst with a strong foundation in accounting principles and hands-on experience in finance systems and IT solutions. This role bridges Finance and Technology, ensuring applications support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Support month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations through ERP systems.

- Assist in chart of accounts maintenance, posting logic, and financial controls.

- Gather requirements from Finance teams for enhancements and new features.

- Prepare and execute UAT, create training materials, and support end-user adoption.

- Configure and maintain Financial Systems

- Collaborate on data integrations, master data management, and security roles.

- Develop and maintain financial reports using BI tools (Power BI, SSRS).

- Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.

- Act as liaison between Finance and IT teams.

- Document processes, SOPs, and maintain system knowledge base.

- Participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Information Systems.

- 3–5 years experience in a techno-functional role supporting Finance systems.

- Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.

- Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP platform and BI tools.

- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis.

- Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath).

- Familiarity with SOX compliance and segregation of duties.

- Experience with Project methodology and writing user stories.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management.

- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath).

- Familiarity with SOX compliance and segregation of duties.

- Experience with Project methodology and writing user stories.

This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
