We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Dallas Fort-Worth area. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while supporting our mission to deliver exceptional utility services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity within our organization. Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Ensure compliance with SOX and GAAP standards.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

- Maintain organized records of invoices and payments.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable processes.

- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

- Generate reports on accounts payable metrics for management review.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

- Proven experience in accounts payable or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Workday).

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving.

- Familiarity with data entry processes.
