AMADA Brake Press Operator and Programmer

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to specifications

- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the proper set up and sequence of operations

- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and punches for each job

- Adjust machine settings to control speed, pressure, and depth of the bend

- Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and accuracy of the finished product

- Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections

- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment

- Proficient in using hand tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to measure dimensions and tolerances

- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is a plus

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders

- Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations and measurements

Skills:

- Forklift operation experience is preferred

- Knowledge of machining processes and equipment is a plus

- Basic math skills for calculating measurements and angles

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders accurately

- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks

- Familiarity with CNC machines or lathe operation is beneficial

- Experience operating cranes or other lifting equipment is a plus
