Mercury Specialty Products Inc. (MSP) is a leading metal fabricator in North America. MSP maintains long term contracts with OEM's in Canada and the United States.

•

MSP seeks and experienced Press Brake Operator who has a minimum of 5 years experience. The successful candidate will operate a 200 ton, 12 foot bed, Safan Darley Press Brake. This press brake is the latest in "all electric" press brake technology.

•

The successful candidate will also be trained to operate our latest 4,000 watt, fiber laser flatbed.

•

This opportunity is a full time position, with an immediate start date.

Requirements

•

Set up and operate a CNC Brake Press

•

The ability to read and interpret complex drawings

•

The ability to solve complex bending problems

•

Capable of measuring parts using calipers, micrometers, and angle protractors

•

Experience implement quality control, and management procedures

•

Read specifications, and follow work instructions

•

Capable of documenting assignments and work procedures

Work Conditions

•

Fast paced working environment - no two jobs are the same

•

Handling weights of up to 60lbs.

•

Forming long parts

•

Physically demanding

•

Manual dexterity required

•

Standing, walking, reaching for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

•

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience operating a CNC Brake Press along with knowledge and experience working with precision bending equipment.

•

Must possess the ability to read, comprehend, and understand complex plans and drawings.

•

Ability to work independently to set up and adjust machinery as required.

•

Must be able to conduct independent inspections and quality control procedures.

•

Must have experience working with highly tolerance parts, and awkward shapes.

•

Ability to cooperate in a team environment.

•

Ability to organize workflow within a team environment, and ensure the department achieves its production goals for on time delivery.

•

Skills training through a recognized vocational school, technical college, apprenticeship, or college program is preferred.
