AI Software Developer Intern

Job Responsibilities:

The AI Software Developer Intern will serve as an integral member of the Corporate IT Software Development team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

- Assist in designing, building and testing AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Agent Studio and Visual Studio Code

- Work with data stored in SQL Server, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Fabric

- Support automation and integration with Power Platform tools (Power Apps and Power Automate)

- Follow security, data governance, and responsible AI best practices

- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications:

- Current junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

- Strong curiosity about AI, automation, and Large Language Models

- Experience with Prompt Engineering, AI agent design and chatbots

- Proficient in programming / scripting (Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar)

- Basic understanding of databases and SQL

- Ability of learn quickly and work independently with guidance

- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
