We have immediate opportunities for ACP medics for work on a pipeline project in Fort McMurray, Alberta for the Winter/Spring season.
You will be accountable and responsible for assessment and treatment of on-site personnel when required. Participation in safety meetings and daily reporting is expected.
- Administer first aid and medical care and immediate response during emergencies to crew members as required within your scope of practice
- Conduct assessments and initiate treatment as required
- Maintain daily logs, injury reports, and medical documentation
- Participate in daily safety meetings and provide input on safety practices
- Assist with health and safety programs and participate in emergency response drills
- Ensure medical equipment and supplies remain fully stocked and operational
- Submit daily hazard assessments on projects
- Handle radio checks with crews on programs that use mobile radios
- Current Drug and Alcohol Clearance
- Valid driver’s license (Class 4 or Class 5)
- Current and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Standard PPE: CSA-approved boots, task-specific gloves, and a cold-weather snow suit all other PPE will be supplied
- Registered as an ACP with the respective provincial College of Paramedics
- Bear or Wildlife Awareness
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) in-house online training provided
- WHMIS in-house online training provided
