Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Specialist opportunity at the Catholic University of America campus in Washington, DC.
This position is temporary with an anticipated duration of 3 months.
- Under general supervision, perform a variety of administrative functions in support of management and staff.
- Provide continuous effort to improve office operations and streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly with all levels of management and staff to provide quality customer service.
- Use initiative and judgement to see that matters requiring attention are referred to delegated authority or handled in a timely manner to minimize the effect of the manager’s absence.
- Primary duties include administrative functions in support of purchasing, matching documentation, invoicing, shipping and receiving, and dealing with vendor correspondence.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at minimum of 8 years administrative and / or office support experience, and/or combination of experience and education.
- Must possess ability to conduct work scope with discreetness and strict professional confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Must possess strong, professional, and effective, written, and verbal communication skills with all levels of management and personnel.
- Must possess strong attention to detail in a highly technical and complex work environment.
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize work activities to accomplish tasks within a timely manner, while able to account for impacts of decisions made.
- Ability and experience in providing administrative support in areas purchasing, invoicing, and vendor management is preferred.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
Pay is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $25.00-$30.00 per hour.
