Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable role manages the invoicing and collections process for Mpower, applies payments to customer accounts, and oversees tax-related responsibilities, including filings. The role also includes managing bank reconciliations, assisting with financial reports, and ensuring smooth communication with various stakeholders. This position works closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate financial records and timely cash flow management.

- Accounts Receivable Management:

- Enter invoices generated by the solar team into QuickBooks and Bill.com.

- Apply customer payments against open invoices, ensuring accurate receivables and up-to-date records.

- Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor daily bank balances and assist Dianne in preparing intercompany transfers to cover necessary payments.

- Communicate with Lavie regarding any account shortages, track shortages in the wire log, and facilitate internal and wire transfers to cover deficits.

- Tax Payments and Filings:

- Assist with tax-related filings, including responding to tax notices and preparing annual tax returns.

- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations:

- Perform daily and interim reconciliations for various accounts, including Overpass, MPD, MPE, MPENJ, Foundation, Mpower Solar, and Solar Contracting.

- Ensure accurate reconciliation for all accounts and address any discrepancies.

- Manage the monthly review and reconciliation of Amex credit card statements, ensuring data is accurately imported and classified in QuickBooks.

- Collaboration with Accounts Payable:

- Support the Accounts Payable team during periods of absence, ensuring smooth operations for both departments. Provide backup for bill processing and other administrative tasks as necessary.

- Additional Responsibilities:

- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.

- Assist in organizing and streamlining the accounting department, collaborating closely with colleagues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

- 3 + years of experience in Accounts Receivable

- Strong understanding of AP/AR and general accounting principles.

- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel.

- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

- Excellent time management

- Consummate team player

Compensation & Benefits:

- Base Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
