Job Summary

This position will be responsible for Accounts Payable for Canada, US and Argentina divisions. You will develop strong communications with office & field staff, as well as with vendors accounting personnel and sales staff.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

•

Enter vendor invoices for payment

•

Manage cheque run bi-weekly

•

Prepare vendor cheques for mailing

•

Receive and verify invoices and requisitions

•

Electronic filing of AP documents

•

Vendor queries and follow up

•

Reconciling monthly vendor statements

•

Rotating reception coverage (lunch breaks & time off)

•

General office duties as required (e.g., maintenance, cleanliness, etc.)

•

Compliance with quality and safety management requirements

•

Other duties as determined from time to time

About the Individual

•

3-6 years of accounting experience

•

An administrative Certificate or Diploma is a strong asset

•

A minimum of intermediate knowledge in all Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Internet Explorer

•

Intermediate to advance in Excel

•

Experience using accounting software

•

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

•

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

•

Always approachable and professional in approach

•

Able to keep several projects moving forward at once

•

Comfortable contacting customers and staff via phone or e-mail

•

An ability to prioritize is a must

•

A professional telephone manner
