We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting services and be proficient in Quickbooks software. This role involves managing accounts receivable, assisting with corporate finance tasks, and ensuring compliance with securities law. The Accounting Specialist will also play a key role in closing month end.
Responsibilities
•Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
•Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable regulations.
•Utilize financial software to track expenses, revenues, and budgets effectively.
•Assist in corporate finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
•Ensure adherence to securities law and other regulatory requirements within the accounting function.
•Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
•Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
•Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
•Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
•Proficiency in using financial software for accounting tasks; familiarity with private equity is a plus.
•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast financial trends accurately.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.55 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 80 per week
