As the Accounting Manager & HR Administrator, you will have the opportunity to leverage your Accounting and HR know-how by managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bookkeeping inputs and tax compliance as well as HR administration and compliance for 2 sister organizations; Pacific Power Reps (PPR) and Western Utility Solutions (Western). ● Learns Pacific Power Reps (PPR) + Western Utility Solutions (Western) mission, purpose, products, current markets, business processes and the business partners with manufacturers.
● Attendsscheduled meeting with the Accounting/Bookkeeping consultant & Operations Leader to discuss weekly PPR AR/deposit needs and learns how to run the weekly commission deposit report and how to approve expense reports.
● Shadows the Operations Leader daily to learn how to perform AR/AP tasks for PPR and Western, asking questions where help is needed.
● Reviews the current onboarding and offboarding process for employees and contributes to areas where collaboration and input are needed to improve processes.
● Partners with Office Manager & Operations Leader to review all current employee’s status and current documentation/filing system and learns how to update employee records within Paycom.
● By 30 days, is able to coordinator payroll activities such as reviewing timecards, managing any issues with HSAs or deductions, has learned the process for A/R for Western to update QuickBooks, and is tracking of POs from inception to completion.
● In partnership with the CEO, creates a schedule for monthly L10 EOS meetings to focus on vision, people, data, issues, process and traction of organizations goals for both PPR and Western.
● Is fully immersed in the HR workflow and process, independently manages and processes all A/R and A/P items for both PPR and Western and owns the process to keep the office filing system up to date and creates a cadence to audit and maintain the filing system.
● Is asking questions to the CEO, Operations Leader and external Tax Accountant about HR/tax compliance items that PPR and Western should have and ensures that paperwork/filings are submitted and/or completed with the right state/federal entities.
● Is closely partnering with the Product Development Manager for Western on processing Purchase Orders and handling invoicing; considering and sharing ways to make the process more efficient.
● Is fully independent and managing all HR Administration items, leads process improvements and delivers solutions to President and Operation Leader and continues to be a stable, reliable and accurate with all A/R and A/P responsibilities for both PPR and Western,
● Continues to be a stable, reliable team member and accurate with all A/R and A/P responsibilities for both PPR and Western; works with the Operations Leader determine what additional responsibilities this role would like to pursue and take on to develop and grow.
2+ years of experience in an accounting and HR support administration role required; experience with HR and tax compliance procedures strongly preferred
Proven experience navigating, inputting and analyzing information with QuickBooks Desktop required
Proven knowledge and experience handling and processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable required
Highly proficient with computer skills working with various programs including MS Suite, Word, and Excel required
Support and helpful focus with the motivation to drive things forward and maintain high level of quality required
Proven dependable and responsible with a great “get things done” attitude required
Experience within the power and/or industrial equipment supplier or manufacturing industry a plus
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Compensation range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 annually based on experience and skill
