We’re Hiring: Accounting Consultant
Are you a systems-savvy accounting professional who thrives at the intersection of finance, technology, and process improvement? We’re looking for a seasoned Accounting Consultant to play a critical role in shaping and supporting the tools, training, and strategies that drive our Corporate Accounting operations.
As our top-level technical expert, you’ll lead the development and enhancement of financial systems, guide cross-departmental process improvements, and serve as a go-to resource for complex accounting initiatives. This is more than a back-office role—it’s a high-impact position that touches nearly every corner of the organization, including our work in telecom, internet, and video services.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead training for Corporate Accounting team members, including new hire onboarding and ongoing refresher programs.
- Act as a key team member in the implementation and maintenance of core systems such as FMS, PowerPlan, and Omnia—working closely with vendors and internal teams to manage upgrades and new implementations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all technical aspects of FMS and PowerPlan systems.
- Collaborate across departments to provide technical and accounting support for financial processes and system usage.
- Execute ad-hoc accounting projects involving process optimization, product analysis, and strategic financial insights.
- Represent Corporate Accounting in company-wide initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in shared systems and data flows.
- Contribute to the development and execution of long-term financial system strategies that support new business lines and evolving operational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience , including 5 years within a Corporate Accounting environment.- Proven leadership in the design, development, and implementation of a critical automated business system.
- Advanced knowledge of company accounting practices and regulatory standards including GASB, FASB, and FERC.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a process-driven mindset and an ability to translate technical details into practical solutions.
