About the role

The

will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the region. This role focuses on supervising AP/AR, coordinating payroll and taxes with external providers, managing reconciliations, and preparing consolidated reporting under U.S. GAAP and Canadian standards.

The Accounting Manager will also support audits, ensure adherence to internal controls, and drive process improvements, including ERP and reporting automation. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across regional and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight

– Review and supervise AP/AR processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Payments Review

– Oversee payment workflows, verifying compliance with contracts, budgets, and approval procedures.

- Payroll & Taxes Coordination

– Work with external providers/CPAs to ensure accurate payroll and tax compliance.

- Financial Reporting

– Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports under U.S. GAAP and Canadian standards.

- Reconciliations & Treasury

– Oversee bank reconciliations, cash management, and ensure liquidity planning.

- Internal Controls

– Maintain compliance with financial policies, corporate standards, and local regulations.

- Audit Support

– Coordinate preparation for internal and external audits, working with global teams and auditors.

- Process Improvement & Automation

– Identify and implement improvements in accounting workflows and reporting systems.

- Cross-Regional Collaboration

– Partner with finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure alignment with corporate requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).

- CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.

- Proven experience in accounting management within the U.S. and Canada.

- Strong knowledge of

U.S. GAAP and Canadian accounting standards

.

- Hands-on experience with payroll and tax compliance oversight.

- Proficiency with financial/accounting systems (QuickBooks, ADP) and advanced Excel skills.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with hands-on involvement in day-to-day financial operations.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
