Accounting Manager

Overview

Metcom Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including cost accounting, payables and receivables, and journal entries. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with securities law, and the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries and account reconciliation.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Manage balance sheet reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with other departments to provide insights on financial management and performance metrics.

- Ensure adherence to securities law and regulatory requirements in all financial reporting.

- Conduct audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.

- Experienced in cost accounting.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Proven experience in accounting

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Proficiency in debits and credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis

- Familiarity with securities law regulations

- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate across departments

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
