As an Accounting Analyst III, you will play a crucial role in providing expertise and mentorship in compiling, analyzing and interpreting financial information for leadership decision-making. This role ensures compliance with requirements and regulations and is a resource for both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will also include looking for ways to optimize business processes through technology and automation, improving efficiency and reducing costs. Accounting Analyst III


Responsibilities/Expectations:

- Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, and variance analysis

- Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers

- Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for audit processes

- Participates in small projects with minimal mentorship and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

- Processes and analyses significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions

- Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four (4) years experience in accounting in the energy industry

- Preferred: CPA


Other Requirements:

- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications

- Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills

- Preferred: Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation

- Other duties as assigned


Education/Years of Experience:

- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years experience in accounting in the energy industry

- Preferred: CPA


Other Requirements:
