Job Summary
Viacore Head office is looking for an Accountant/Financial Analyst (12 months contract position) to join our team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accountant/Financial Analyst will be performing monthly analysis on revenue streams, gross margin, and operating expenses; and assist with period-end closing including adjusting journal entries, B/S reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position will be a key member of the GL/reporting team to ensure timely internal/external financial reporting in compliance of IFRS and other ad hoc projects and enquiries requiring accounting support. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility to turn into a permanent role.
Main Responsibilities:
•Be a key resource person of the GL/reporting group within the Finance team.
•Review/analyze revenue and gross margin.
•Review/analyze selected operating expenses.
•Create, update, maintain KPI dash boards.
•Assist with monthly intercompany transactions and eliminations.
•Active participation in period end closing procedures including journal entries, account reconciliations, P&L review and analysis, financial statement preparation and management reporting.
•Assist with monthly salesman and operations staff commission and bonus calculation.
•Assist with major supplier and customer rebate calculation and program.
•Responsible for internal/external periodic financial statement preparation and management reporting and assist with annual budget process.
•Assist with continuous improvement on internal control.
•Assist with other tasks directed by the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller.
Job Requirements:
•5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in FP&A area
•Proficiency/Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
•Attention to detail and advanced analytical skills.
•Strong urge in continuous process and efficiency improvement
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to adapt change with optimism.
•A true team player and self-motivate.
•Experience with Netsuite ERP system an asset
•Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
•Ability to handle stress and commit delivery to meet tight deadlines.
