About the Position
The Account Manager role is the face of our company and the voice of our customer, so obvious passion and people skills are a must. Initiative, decision-making judgment, sales aptitude, and desire to achieve results are among those unteachable qualities this full-time position requires. We want dynamic, innovate leaders to keep our bar high of what it takes to be in a TEC alliance. This position will be specifically supporting company in areas that will guide the electric cooperatives in areas of sustainable development.
What are the key responsibilities?:
•Operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
•Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
•Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
•Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
•Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
•Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
•Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
•Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
•Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
•Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
•Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
•Prepare reports on account status
•Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
•Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field.
•Proven account management or other relevant experience
•Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
•Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
•Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
•5+ years of marketing experience with agency background desirable
•Job may require international travel for vendor or manufacturer site visits that will require a Valid US Passport for Company travel
•Understanding of website development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing and internet technology
•Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
•Expert at Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Salesforce and help desk support software
•Valid Drivers License required for use of Company vehicle for business travel to visit TEC, vendor, or manufacturer sites
•Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience
•Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
•Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
•Must be able to safely operate motor vehicle for Company business travel.
•Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
•Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
•Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
•The person in this position frequently communicates with both internal employees and external vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
•Must be able to view computer and phone screens for more than 90% of the job.
