The Access Control & SoD Analyst role is responsible for ensuring that user access across systems is provisioned, monitored, and reviewed in alignment with security principles, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards. The role focuses on preventing conflicts of interest, unauthorized activities, and fraud by applying Segregation of Duties rules and enforcing appropriate access controls.

Key Elements Of This Role Include

- SoD Governance & Monitoring

- Maintain and enforce the Segregation of Duties (SoD) framework, including risk definitions, rulesets, and mitigating controls.

- Monitor, identify, and report SoD conflicts across critical applications (e.g., ERP, financial systems, HR systems).

- Coordinate with system owners and business units to assess the impact of violations and ensure timely remediation.

- Access Provisioning & Review

- Review and approve user access requests based on least-privilege principles.

- Ensure proper documentation and authorization for elevated or sensitive access.

- Support periodic Access Recertification / User Access Review campaigns.

- Risk Assessment & Mitigation

- Identify access risks linked to new roles, system updates, or organizational changes.

- Recommend mitigating controls where SoD conflicts cannot be eliminated.

- Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT Security, and Compliance to evaluate control effectiveness.

- Policy & Process Management

- Maintain access control policies, SoD matrices, procedures, and role design standards.

- Ensure processes align with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO 27001, NIST).

- Train business users, system administrators, and managers on access control guidelines.

- Reporting & Documentation

- Provide dashboards, metrics, and reports on SoD violations, user access trends, and remediation progress.

- Document all access-related decisions to support audit trails and compliance requirements.

- Strong understanding of access control, least privilege, and separation of duties concepts.

- Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and identity lifecycle management.

- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite/Fusion, PeopleSoft, PowerPlan, OneStream and Kyriba and/or Service Now

- Familiarity with SoD tools (e.g., SAP GRC, SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle GRC, Azure AD).

- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements such as SOX or ISO standards.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate risk to non-technical stakeholders.
