The Summer Intern, Procurement-Contract Compliance will assist the team in various aspects of contract compliance, including community and contractor engagement, database management, and invoice review. This role offers the intern a hands-on opportunity to support contractor engagement initiatives, contribute to invoice review processes, and work with databases to ensure compliance with regulations. The intern will gain exposure to procurement and contract compliance activities while interacting with contractors and supporting outreach efforts.

Performance of other work-related duties as needed
Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Navigate an external database by entering data and generating reports related to procurement and contract compliance.
- Review invoices and supporting documentation to ensure they are accurate and comply with regulations and contractual terms.
- Support contractor engagement initiatives, including outreach efforts, conferences, and events aimed at promoting collaboration between prime contractors and small businesses.
Assist in ensuring that all procurement activities and contractor agreements align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided.
Familiarity with basic database management and report generation.
Exposure to administrative tasks and reviewing documents in an academic or internship setting.
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
High energy and strong work ethic to manage various tasks and responsibilities.
Good aptitude and eagerness to learn about procurement and compliance processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to manage data and create reports.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing invoices and supporting documentation.
Strong willingness to learn and a positive, adaptable attitude.
Previous exposure to procurement or contract compliance-related work, internships, or coursework.
Understanding of procurement processes and contractor engagement strategies.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with contractors and internal teams.
