1st shift Material Specialist

Pay for this position is $20.59/hr Summery

(1st shift 6:00 am - 2:00 pm)Maintains inventory, tracks incoming parts using the excel spreadsheets, loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, to and from facilities, yard, vendors, or work site by performing the following duties. Must obtain For-Hire license upon starting postion.

- Operates industrial fork truck, or electric hoist safely, to assist in loading or moving materials and products

- Loads/Unloads materials from heavy truck operator and vendor vehicles

- Stage material as needed per job, to eliminate interruption in production flow

- Opens containers, notes damages, and records quantities, as required.

- Receives and signs/dates packing slips, and stocks material in its assigned locations

- Create and maintain labelled, clean, and easily interpreted stock areas

- Secures lifting attachments to materials and transfers load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination

- Counts, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet

- Assembles crates to contain products such as raw or finished parts

Requirements:

- Must be certified for forklift operation by DMCO

- Must obtain For-Hire license

- Must have clear driving record

- Must obtain and maintain a Health Card,

- Must be able to operate stake truck

- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

- Must be proactive and a self-starter

- Must have good attendance

- Must be able to work overtime

- Must work well with others

You should be proficient in:

- Forklift Licensed

- Meets Physical Requirements

- Excellent Communication Skills

- Shop Math Skills

- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
