Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking Traffic Control – Working Foreman with experience for the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the Milling & Traffic Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details:
•Wages start at $24.00hr, starting wage based on experience.
•Day Shift ($3 Night Shift Premium for all night shift work)
•Weekend work may be required

Job Responsibilities:
•Develops traffic control plans, coordinates with project managers and local authorities, and ensures that plans are effectively implemented.
•Oversees and trains a crew in traffic control procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
•Manages traffic control operations, adjusts measures as needed based on site conditions, and ensures the proper placement of traffic control devices
•Ensures availability for job site and maintenance of equipment and materials required for traffic control, including traffic cones, barriers, and signs
•Maintains accurate records of traffic control operations, including inspections, work zone setups, and any incidents.
•Responsible for setting up lane closures on high traffic projects in accordance with MUTCD regulations and at the direction of Traffic Control Coordinator.
•Help manage and direct the flow of traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and flags in accordance with trained procedures.
•Operate TMA Truck – driving to and from work site and manning vehicle at the entry to lane closures.
•Assist the construction and paving crew with labor tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
•Must be dedicated to working safely at all times.
•2 Years Experience preferred working with traffic control crew
•1 Year Experience required working with traffic control crew
•Preference given to current ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certification holders.
•Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.
•Willing to be trained to flag/regulate traffic in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.
•Willing to assist crew with manual labor duties, as needed.
•Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
