Work Experience Machinery Technician

Employer Partner Introduction: Soelect Inc. is a fast-growing, multi-patented clean technology startup located in Greensboro, NC. Soelect has developed an advanced lithium metal composite anode that, when combined with a solid-state or liquid electrolyte, significantly increases energy density, power and safety while also lowering manufacturing costs through our patented material design and proprietary processes.

Position Brief:

- Guilford Works NextGen WEX Machinery Technician at Soelect Engineering Department

- Work Location: 4355 Federal Drive, Suite140, Greensboro, NC 27410 (No public transportation)

- Work Hours: 20hrs per week / On-site M-F / Morning shift: 8:25AM - 12:30PM OR Afternoon shift: 1:15PM – 5:10PM

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).

- 0-1 years of experience in machinery maintenance or mechanical repair.

- Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Eager to learn about technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.

- Familiarity with tools such as lathes, welding equipment, grinders, and hand tools.

- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or heights.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, engines, conveyors)

- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues using manuals and diagnostic tools

- Dismantle and replace faulty parts using proper tools and equipment

- Calibrate machines to meet operational standards

- Keep accurate maintenance records and report issues

- Follow safety protocols and regulations

- Work with technicians, engineers, and production staff

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagram

Job Types: Temporary, Internship

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
