This leader will be responsible for defining and implementing the Wind Manufacturing process improvement programme across the Wind Manufacturing Nacelle factories, using factory quality data and metrics to determine priorities and process improvements to prevent escapes to our customers.
This role will lead the quality continuous improvement programme, the business processes and QMS and the associated quality tools for Wind manufacturing Nacelle factories. The role requires excellent communication skills, domain knowledge of quality processes, tools and systems as well as the ability to collaborate with and influence key decision makers.
This role will closely partner with the respective Wind functional leaders as well as the Manufacturing teams to ensure a harmonized strategy and process definition as well as to coordinate the process implementation.
- Responsible for tracking, analyzing and working with the broader manufacturing teams to improve the key Quality metrics and ultimately eliminate escaping defects to customers.
- Using both qualitative and quantitative data you will derive targeted and impactful improvement programmes to drive improved customer satisfaction and our remaining quality focused KPIs.
- As the Quality Process Improvement Leader you will be responsible for aligning the Quality processes and tools across Wind Manufacturing, aligning with the Wind functions and then training, coaching and supporting the business with respect to quality and lean methodologies, strategic development and deployment of Continuous Improvement Initiatives, set up and develop skills and competencies and consolidation and reporting of the Continuous Improvement metrics.
- The role will also be responsible for planning and implementation of strategic changes for the function, either in part or entirety. These change programs will range from incremental improvements to more substantial change programs under the leadership and direction of the Quality Leader.
- Expected to engage in RCAs, customer communications and represent Wind Manufacturing in internal and external facing forums.
- Ensure the QMS and documentation management systems for Wind Manufacturing Nacelle factories are maintained and that quality certifications required by customers and Wind are in place.
- Ensure any required Quality training and communications are developed and implemented.
- Own and manage the Wind Manufacturing audit program for the nacelle factories
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college; or equivalent knowledge / experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of significant progressive leadership experiences in manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, quality, engineering or commercial discipline.
- Experience and knowledge of Quality tools, methodologies and improvement programs is a must and operational or product experience is an advantage.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal (key).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrate a track record of leading teams. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to influence.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills .
- Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily.
- Flexibility to travel when required.
The base pay range for this position is $107,600.00 - $179,200.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation of 15%.
