Job Description
We are partnering with a renewable energy client seeking a
Construction Project Managerto support the execution of
two concurrent utility-scale wind projectslocated in the
Anson, Texas area. This role follows a
2-week on-site / 2-week remote rotation, providing consistent field oversight while allowing for remote work during non-site weeks.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing
utility-scale wind projects, including overseeing civil, electrical, and turbine installation scopes. Strong familiarity with construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and safety/compliance standards is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day construction activities across both project sites, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors across civil, electrical, and turbine erection scopes.
- Maintain and monitor construction schedules, budgets, and deliverables; proactively resolve issues to prevent delays.
- Conduct site walks, quality checks, and safety audits during on-site rotations.
- Support and track project milestones, RFIs, submittals, and reporting via project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Ensure adherence to environmental, regulatory, and safety compliance standards.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with engineers, client reps, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide bi-weekly status updates, risk assessments, and financial tracking to internal leadership.
- Assist with final commissioning, punch list resolution, and project turnover.
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, including utility-scale wind or renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of wind construction scopes (civil, foundations, electrical, turbine erection).
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors across multiple locations.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, P6, MS Project).
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Comfortable working in the field for extended periods (2 weeks at a time).
- Must be able to travel to Anson, TX area regularly as part of the rotation schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
