The Wholesale/Commercial Fuels Marketing Sales Consultant will grow fuel sales and gross margin to meet goals for the assigned territory. This person is expected to organize, manage, and develop a relationship with wholesale fleet and transportation clients within the company operations footprint. The focus of this position is building fuel volume, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Grow volume and profit through all fuel wholesale and Unbranded business.
•Cold call to generate new contacts and sales.
•Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers.
•Develop and present sales presentations, develop and prepare contracts and quotes. Monitor customer onboarding.
•Communicate verbally and in writing with customers about their business, account status, and resolve any account issues.
•Implement company policies and initiatives
•Always provide excellent customer service
•Secure and document competitive information
•Continue product and general skills education
•Submit all required reports and information in a timely manner
•Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications/Requirements:
•Wholesale/commercial sales experience within the petroleum industry is preferred
•Understanding of industry pricing, indexes and standards preferred
•Strong analytical, numerical and writing ability.
•General knowledge of dispatch/fuel truck deliveries
•Possess strong organizational/time management skills
•Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
•Must be able to respond to phone calls, text messages and emails during business hours, nights, weekends and holidays
•Work with all company personnel in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork as well as working independently
•Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM software
•Regional travel as necessary to perform job as much as 50% of the time
•Valid Driver’s License/Clean Driving Record
Education/Experience:
•High school/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years fuel sales experience preferred.
