As a
Well Site Supervisor ,you will report directly to the Drilling Superintendent and be responsible for managing all drilling operations at the wellsite. Your primary focus will be to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of gas well drilling activities. This includes coordinating closely with contractors, service providers, and internal teams to maintain operational excellence and meet project objectives.
What You’ll Do
✔️Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and LEG company policies during operations. Oversee and coordinate drilling activities at the wellsite, ensuring adherence to LEG safety and operational standards.
✔️Collaborate with Field Superintendents and LEG drilling engineers to implement drilling plans and optimize wellbore construction.
✔️Monitor drilling parameters, wellbore conditions, and equipment performance in real-time. Communicate updates as necessary and any recommended course of action promptly.
✔️Provide leadership and operational oversight to the wellsite drilling team, including internal service leads such as Toolpushers and their crews, ensuring alignment with drilling plans and efficient execution of operations.
✔️Coordinate a team of internal and external well site service providers, providing guidance and ensuring efficient operations to timely and safely deliver in accordance with the drilling program.
✔️ Conduct safety briefings and meetings, enforcing safety protocols and fostering a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and safety awareness.
✔️ Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs as needed to mitigate any downtime.
✔️ Maintain accurate records of drilling and completion activities, equipment status, and incidents.
✔️Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of wellsite operations.
✔️ Lead and actively participate in well control and emergency response procedures as required.
✔️ Monitor and report on drilling progress, performance metrics, and operational challenges using Wellview and Microsoft Teams.
✔️Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and LEG company policies during operations.
✔️Prepare and review operational reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of wellsite operations, including collaboration with internal service leads (e.g. Toolpushers) and external vendors. Responsibilities include planning and directing work activities, identifying and addressing performance issues on location, and facilitating effective after-action reviews (AARs) to mitigate future risks. This role ensures operational alignment across all contributors without direct supervisory authority over internal service teams.
About You (Qualifications & Experience)
We are looking for dedicated individuals who bring expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic to our team. Ideal candidates will have
✅ Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in petroleum engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
✅ The ability to read, write, and analyze reports, correspondence, and procedural manuals with strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
✅ Basic Math Skills
✅ Advanced problem solving, effective leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
✅ Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
