This position supervises well work and intervention operations for any of the following including but not limited to fracturing, coiled tubing, well testing, slickline / wireline operations and other pumping operations required for surface abandonment and freeze protection. The Well Intervention Supervisor collaborates on the Operator’s completion plan, handling various aspects of workover/completions assignments and assists in preparing completion, well testing and well intervention procedures.
This position works closely with HSE, town-based Completions Engineering and logistics to ensure an effective and safe work program.
Qualifications
- Current/Valid driver's license - Current/valid Well Control certificate or could obtain a Well Control certificate upon hire.
- 10+ years of Intervention experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience using WellView daily reporting system.
- Experience with simultaneous operations in close proximity.
- High angle / horizontal well intervention
- Willing and able to work a 12-hour day/night shift with a 2/2 weeks on/off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to swap from days to nights or nights to days, within the 2-week rotation.
- Currently reside in, able to relocate to, or willing to commute to Anchorage, AK without company assistance
- Willing and able to independently lift/carry and otherwise work with items weighing upwards of 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to push/pull on wrenches, tools, carts, pry-bars, etc. with upwards of 150-foot pounds of force.
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to swing 4-pound hammers and 8–16-pound sledgehammers.
- Willing and able to work in a variety of postures and positions throughout the work period to include supine, kneeling, squatting, bending, and crawling, as well as working in tight confines.
- Willing and able to independently transition to and from the ground without the aid of a stationary object for support and sustain prolonged periods of standing and walking on hard surfaces as well as steel grating, snow, ice, and mud.
