Role Description:
The Hydraulic Fracturing Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations related to hydraulic fracturing across multiple sites. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of operations while managing logistics, personnel, and vendor activities. The position requires a deep understanding of hydraulic fracturing processes, field logistics, and simultaneous operations (SIMOPs), with a focus on safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role is rotational (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off) and includes living in a dormitory-type environment during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all fracturing-related activities.
- Comply with all company, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with field leadership to direct activities of operators, maintenance teams, technical staff, and third-party vendors.
- Support and mentor field personnel, providing technical guidance and contributing to employee assessments.
- Optimize volumes, expenses, and long-term value in coordination with engineering and optimization teams.
- Coordinate logistics for fracturing operations across multiple fields and pad sites.
- Oversee the setup and execution of SIMOPs with other field services (drilling, coiled tubing, etc.).
- In seawater operations: assemble loading stations and manage trucking to pad.
- In produced water operations: monitor rates, stoppages, and overall coordination.
- Manage support equipment such as heaters, generators, light plants, and fuel trucks.
- Organize vendor assignments, rig-ups, and field activities including frac valves, tracer pumping, dart dropping, etc.
- Interface with internal material planners and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Assess pad layouts and plan site logistics for fracturing operations.
- Track and report on proppant inventory, including quality control and volume tracking across multiple fields.
- Maintain accurate data entry and reporting in software platforms such as Wellview and OpenInvoice.
- Coordinate and support special projects and implementation of new technologies (e.g., produced water skids, high/low-pressure hose systems, tankage, proppant silos).
- Manage environmental, emissions, and land use permitting requirements, in alignment with state agencies such as AOGCC, BLM, and ADEC.
- Ensure readiness and response plans are in place for adverse weather conditions and other operational risks.
- 5–10 years of experience in hydraulic fracturing or a closely related field.
- Previous experience in slope logistics and conventional fracturing preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; higher education is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness and ability to travel between field sites (approximately 40% of workday).
- Experience driving in rugged terrain and challenging weather preferred.
- Background in heavy equipment operation, load transportation, or crane certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with inventory software and/or Wellview preferred.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple simultaneous operations.
- Strong field presence, mentorship, and ability to work within and present to strategic groups.
- Understanding of stimulation additives, petrochemistry, or production chemistry preferred.
- Working knowledge of Alaska land restrictions and permitting processes.
- Familiarity with environmental and emissions oversight (AOGCC, BLM, ADEC).
- Must be able to work a rotational schedule (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off) in a remote, dormitory-style environment.

Pay: $89-$92/hr
