As Supervisor, you will lead a diverse team, while directing maintenance and light construction projects in our Coastal District Parks. Located in Matagorda, TX, our flagship park is Matagorda Bay Nature Park were the Colorado River meets the Gulf of Mexico which offers, 24 miles of beach access, sleek Airstreams, beautiful bungalows and 60 full hookup campsites for visitors to enjoy. - Provide leadership and direction to staff
- Hire, train, assign work, evaluate and manage performance
- Maintain awareness of department issues and respond to employee needs and concerns
- Communicate with employees to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information
- Strategically plan labor and associated expenses required to execute work projects.
- Develop and maintain maintenance budgets, and forecasts
- Perform routine facility maintenance and inspections
- Manage contracts and projects with outside vendors
- Operate with an in-depth focus on safety
- Six or more years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, facility maintenance, landscaping, construction, or other relevant experience; including three years of leadership experience.
- Driver's license
- Experience leading and executing multiple projects across several locations
