The Welder – Sheet Metal & Structural Fabrication is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding sheet-metal and structural steel components in accordance with shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role supports commercial and industrial fabrication projects and requires strong welding skills, blueprint interpretation, and a commitment to safety and workmanship.
· Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Flux welding on sheet metal and structural steel components
· Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
· Fit, tack, and weld assemblies to required tolerances
· Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy
· Grind, finish, and prepare welded assemblies as required
· Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
· Communicate fabrication issues or discrepancies to supervision
· Follow all company safety and quality standards
· 2+ years welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
· Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG and Flux preferred
· Ability to weld thin-gauge sheet metal without warping
· Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
· Experience with HVAC, industrial, or architectural fabrication
Hourly Pay Range: $23.93 – $28.82 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated skill level. Overtime paid in accordance with state and federal law. Pay increases are based on performance, skill progression, and certifications.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions
· Ability to work in a shop environment with heat, noise, sparks, and fumes (PPE provided)
