Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder (Primarily TIG) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques with a strong understanding of fabrication processes and must be skilled in various metal types, including aluminum. As a welder you will be responsible for assembling pieces of metal together according to customer specifications. This role involves working in a manufacturing environment, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.

- Identifying the materials to be used in the project

- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications

- Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together

- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

- Meet daily production requirements/goals

- Assisting in the production of various manufactured products

- Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training, which we provide

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Skills

- Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and soldering techniques.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines.

- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for precise work.

- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to welding tasks.

- Experience in manufacturing environments with an understanding of fabrication processes.

Job Requirements:

- - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- - Knowledge of metallurgy

- - Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding

- - Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques

- - Must be able to read and write English

- - Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation

- - Ability to work overtime as required

- - Ability to lift and move 50lbs regularly

- - Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record

Work Experience:

- 1-year minimum verifiable work experience in a similar position

- Most recent employment in a similar position with separation on good terms

Employment Type/Hours:

Full Time / 40hrs / 4x10

Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM

Overtime as needed.

Starting Pay Rate: $20-$22 an hour - dependent upon experience

We expect you to demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and effective communication skills while collaborating with team members on-site. Your premium skills in sheet metal work, along with relevant experience in manufacturing, will enhance our team's efficiency and project success. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
