Our FFP welding team is going through an incredible time of growth and development. Responsibilities:

- Tape Measure Proficiency: Possess excellent skills in using a tape measure accurately to measure and mark materials for fabrication, ensuring precise dimensions.

- Conversion Skills: Demonstrate the ability to convert between fractions and decimals, as well as understand and apply mathematical calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.

- Blueprint Reading and Fabrication: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to fabricate parts and structures accurately. Use blueprint information to perform material take-offs, create cut lists, and determine appropriate fabrication processes.

- Following Instructions: Follow both written and verbal instructions provided by supervisors, project managers, or lead fabricators to carry out fabrication tasks efficiently and accurately.

- MIG Welding Skills: Set up and troubleshoot MIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate settings and ensuring proper gas flow. Perform MIG welding on aluminum materials, maintaining consistent and acceptable weld appearance and strength.

- Accurate Aluminum Cutting: Demonstrate the ability to cut aluminum materials accurately, following designated measurements and using appropriate tools and equipment.

- Jig and Template Creation: Create jigs and templates to improve production efficiency and accuracy in fabrication processes. Ensure proper alignment and positioning of parts for welding or assembly.

- Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of quality by recognizing and addressing badly formed or cut parts before welding. Aim to produce an acceptable product with a minimum number of rejects.

- Project Scheduling: Understand and adhere to project schedules, recognizing the importance of meeting deadlines and completing tasks within the allocated timeframes.

- Driving Record and Background Check: Possess a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check, as required by the company's policies and the nature of the work.

- Written and Weld Tests: Successfully complete an initial written test to demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of fabrication concepts and pass a welding test to showcase proficiency in MIG welding techniques.

Bonus Skills:

- AutoCAD/Drafting Experience: Familiarity with AutoCAD or drafting software to read and interpret CAD drawings, make modifications, and assist with project planning.

- TIG Welding Skills: Ability to perform TIG welding on aluminum materials, demonstrating proficiency in TIG welding techniques and producing high-quality welds.

- Powder Coating Experience: Knowledge or experience in powder coating processes, including surface preparation, powder application, and curing techniques.

- Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills to input and retrieve information, communicate via email or software platforms, and utilize digital resources related to fabrication tasks.

Experience and Details

A LONG TERM HIGHLY SKILLED ALUMINUM FABRICATOR with at least two years of expertise in aluminum welding and fabrication is needed for Florida Fence Products. 100% ALUMINUM items such as aluminum gates, railing, fence, trellis, and arbors, as well as unique custom aluminum products, are welded and fabricated.
