Weld Quality Control Supervisor

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of hourly Quality Technicians for QC Inspections and Incoming Receiving, including planning, staffing, and day-to-day management of quality inspections, NDT testing and maintaining the Quality Management System.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $65,000 - $100,000+

Essential Duties:

- Manage the QMS process at Aqua-Chem.

- Manage and Direct Daily QC Inspections, Incoming Receiving, Material Inspections, Outside Inspectors, Supplier Quality and the Gage Calibration Process.

- Work with management, customers, and other representatives in the planning Quality Plans, scheduling, coordinating, and directing quality control in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and production schedules.

- Assist in QMS, ISO, and Customer Audits

- Manage CAPA and NCMR Process

- Manage Quality Technician NDT Certifications

- Manage ASME Inspection and Audit Process

- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance or Related Field

- Maintaining ISO9001-2015 and QMS Programs in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment

- Knowledge of ASME Boiler Code, PED, CSA, CE, KEA

- Experience in Pharmaceutical and Beverage Equipment manufacturing quality requirements

- Knowledge of Military Specs and DFAR’s

- Experience and proficiency of NDA Inspection and Testing Techniques

- Supervisory experience.

- Proficient in Five Why and 8D problem solving

Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- 3-5 Years in Quality Management

- Level III NDT Inspector Certification is a plus

- 6 Sigma Black Belt
