- 3rd Shift Weld Supervisor, Sunday-Thursday, 10:15pm-6:15am

Summary: Ensure Weld Line Department needs are maintained in accordance with schedules, engineering and quality specifications as directed by the Weld Department Manager by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

- Over sees the daily running of the Weld Line by ensuring that adequate wire/tooling/job sheets/cut list/pallets etc. are available to minimize down time and to ensure timely/accurate customer deliveries.

- Prioritizes and monitors all Weld lines.

- Monitors and/or enters “Who In/Who Out”/Done duties and reviews all weight sheets.

- Monitors all Weld Line schedules frequently throughout the day to ensure run order is logical, make staffing decisions and ensure jobs are completed on time.

- Assists the Set-Up Technician on the Mesh Welder and sets up and programs both Jig Welders as needed.

- Helps run the Mesh Welder and Jig Welders when needed and assists in the Straight and Cut area.

- Ensures that quality products are manufactured in a safe, clean environment.

- Ensures the Mesh Welder and Jig Welder; set down, squareness and flatness are within tolerance.

- Ensures the Straight and Cut Operator 2 is checking length and straightness of wire and that all employees in the Weld Department are completing the appropriate quality sheets, data sheets and daily log.

- Enters daily logs as needed.

- Assists in training/cross training of employees, documenting progress on the “Training Grids”.

- Provides constant communication and assistance to all employees to ensure that each line is prepared for the subsequent shift. Communicates with both preceding and following Shift Supervisors regarding the schedule, issues, deviations etc. and acts as liaison between Operators and Plant Management.

- Monitor and verify equipment is maintained and functions properly with assistance from the Maintenance Department.

- Reviews all weight sheets prior to turning them in.

- Monitors emails throughout the day

- Ensures information from management is effectively cascaded to all Weld Department employees via postings, performance reviews, shift meetings, training sessions etc.

- Monitors and maintain cleanliness of the welders and their parts. Ensures that all Weld Line employees are cleaning the work areas during machine downtime. (Sweeping, garbage, wipe down machines, organize wire staging area, etc.)
