Indiana American Water is seeking a Water Systems Operator to join our team in Richmond, IN. In this role, you will learn to operate and monitor our 8.9 MGD drinking water treatment plant. As a water systems operator, you will be responsible for ensuring our treatment process stays within regulatory compliance by making process control changes, chemical adjustments and performing light maintenance. Our ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn an exciting and critical business.

Primary Role

Operates and controls plant machinery and equipment to purify and clarify water for human consumption and commercial and industrial use. Remotely controls distribution pumps, tanks, and equipment to maintain water and fire service in the distribution system. Monitors and tests water quality to ensure safe water quality.
