The Copper Mountain mine currently produces approximately 100 million pounds of copper equivalent per year. With a future mill expansion and the integration of New Ingerbelle, the Copper Mountain Mine is expected to produce approximately 140 million pounds of copper equivalent per year over the first 20 years of its 32-year mine life based on reserves. Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Water Systems Equipment Operator at our Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. This position is a 7x7, 12-hour shift, Day and Night Schedule.

Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities, especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.

Reporting to Water Systems Shift Supervisor, the Water Systems Equipment Operator, is responsible for providing full oversight of heavy equipment in accordance with best practices and safe operating procedures. This role supports the site water management through use of heavy equipment for pumping and piping asset set up and by maintaining roads / access to pumping and piping assets across the Copper Mountain Mine (CMM) site .
