THE ROLE:
The Water Treatment Operator oversees monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water treatment infrastructure to ensure safety, compliance, and operational standards. Responsibilities include conducting water quality analyses, managing chemical inventories, and collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to optimize process performance and effluent quality at the Wheeler River Uranium Project – Phoenix Deposit.
This is a fulltime opportunity and will initially be based out of our office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a Monday-Friday schedule with transition to a site based rotational role located at Wheeler River Site in Northern Saskatchewan. To be considered for this role, applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
Intermittent travel to the Wheeler River Project site located in the Athabasca Basin will be required initially, with increased frequency and duration of travel to site as the project progresses. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging their own travel to a designated pick-up point in proximity to Denison’s Saskatoon office to travel to the Project site, and Denison will provide board and lodging while at the Project site, and all required PPE.

Additional qualifications and attributes include:
•Qualified to serve as the Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) for remote, modular Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
•Valid Class 3 Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate required.
•Valid Class 1 Water Treatment Operator Certificate required.
•Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in water treatment systems, preferably in a remote setting.
•Familiarity and experience operating a wastewater treatment plant based on Membrane Bioreactor Technology is an asset.
•Solid proficiency with office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite, accompanied by a willingness to learn and use other technologies and software as required.
•Proficiency with SAP, Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) and SCADA systems would be an asset.
•Willingness and ability to train and mentor operators-in-training.
•Ability to lift, climb, and perform maintenance tasks as required.
•Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
•Strong interpersonal skills that promote safe, collaborative, and inclusive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and contractors.
•Adept at managing own performance against key milestone deliverables.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Water Treatment Operations
•Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring optimal performance.
•Conduct water sampling, testing, and quality control to meet regulatory and company standards.
•Perform preventive and basic corrective maintenance on pumps, filters, chemical dosing systems, and control panels.
•Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
Compliance & Safety
•Adhere to environmental permits, safety protocols, and operational regulations.
•Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
•Handle, dose, and store chemicals safely, maintaining inventory records.
•Participate in emergency response drills, including mine rescue and first aid training.
•Ensure all tasks are carried out by oneself or personnel in strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and protocols and exhibit best practices and behaviors related to both physical and psychological safety for oneself and colleagues by performing all responsibilities and tasks in accordance with the Company’s established policies, protocols, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Site & Equipment Management
•Monitor and document fuel, water, and chemical inventories.
•Perform routine inspections of pipelines, generators, and sewage systems.
•Assist trades personnel and contractors with repairs and installations.
•Conduct other site maintenance and operations tasks as needed.
The successful candidate shall:
Initially perform work activities out of Denison’s regional office in Saskatoon on a Monday to Friday* schedule with occasional travel to project sites situated in the Northern Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan.
•Be willing and able to travel more frequently and for extended durations to meet project demands during the construction and commissioning of the modular water treatment and wastewater treatment plants.
•Be willing and able to transition to a permanently site-based role on a rotational work schedule at a remote field camp in the Northern Athabasca Basin once fulltime operation of the water treatment plant and wastewater treatment plant commences in late 2025.
•Be responsible for arranging their own travel to a designated pick-up point on-route from Denison’s warehouse in Saskatoon to the Project site. Denison provides meals and lodging while at the Project site and all required PPE.
•Understand that this role is subject to background verification checks as part of the pre-employment screening process and as required thereafter in accordance with company policy.
•Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
•Perform other duties as assigned or as may be required.
