The Wastewater Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the effective treatment and management of wastewater in compliance with environmental regulations. Duties

•

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

•

Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying any issues that require attention.

•

Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, and system performance.

•

Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure optimal operation.

•

Utilize logic controllers for automated processes within the treatment facility.

•

Manage heavy equipment operation for the transportation and handling of wastewater materials.

•

Perform heavy lifting tasks associated with equipment handling and maintenance.

•

Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and data collection for reporting purposes.

Skills

•

Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively.

•

Experience with tanker operations for transporting wastewater materials is preferred.

•

Proficiency in basic math for calculations related to water treatment processes.

•

Familiarity with water treatment principles and practices, particularly in wastewater management.

•

Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently within a treatment facility environment.

•

Competence in data collection methods to monitor system performance accurately.

•

Knowledge of logic controllers used in automated wastewater treatment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
