Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management, proper maintenance of warehouse facilities, and upkeep of interior and exterior grounds. This role also requires proficiency in operating a forklift to move materials and products safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
•Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and organization of products, parts, and materials. Track inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy. Work closely with the procurement team to maintain optimal inventory levels and manage product returns.
•Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free from hazards. Perform regular inspections of warehouse shelves, racks, and equipment to ensure safe storage and operation. Maintain proper labeling of all materials and products for easy identification and access. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
•Grounds: Oversee the maintenance of exterior grounds, including maintaining outdoor storage, nail removal from driving areas, and monitor and call in trash removal. Assist in office building maintenance tasks.
•Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse and onto delivery trucks. Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
•Receiving: Review incoming shipments for accuracy and stock those items to the appropriate location.
•Staging: Stage materials needed for following day as needed.
•Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safe working practices within the warehouse, ensuring all staff follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; additional warehouse management or logistics training is a plus.
•Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and forklift operation.
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment.
•Forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain certification).
•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
•Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing products and industry terminology is a plus.
