Description
Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. (NGSG), a premier provider of natural gas compression equipment renowned for its innovative products, cutting-edge design, and superior service, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Specialist to join our team.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Specialist supports operations by managing parts identification, purchasing, and inventory control across various locations, while handling purchase order documentation and inventory records.
Requirements
•
Collaborate with operations to assess and fulfill inventory needs.
•
Oversee inventory levels, handle requisitions for parts as requested by the manager, and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
•
Check received items against purchase orders and ensure proper scanning and filing of documents.
•
Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; restock and label shelves as needed.
•
Process and approve invoices for payment.
•
Assist accounting with purchase order reconciliation and audits.
•
Document returns according to established procedures.
•
Conduct quarterly inventory counts and report discrepancies.
•
Improve inventory management procedures.
•
Stock and distribute supplies, equipment, and merchandise.
•
Manage the return of equipment cores to suppliers for credits.
•
Serve as a parts runner in the Midland/Odessa and Permian Basin areas.
•
Assist the warehouse with receiving parts and support the yard supervisor as needed.
•
Maintain designated supplies.
Qualifications
•
Experience with warehouse parts management, including inventory and cycle counts.
•
Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•
Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.
•
Ability to work extended hours and travel occasionally.
•
Forklift experience is preferred.
•
Clean driving record and ability to tow a trailer.
•
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
•
Excellent communication skills with warehouse staff, purchasing departments, and vendors.
•
Highly organized and capable of working independently.
•
Must be fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
Education And Experience
•
High school diploma or equivalent required.
•
Minimum of 2 years of experience in gas compression equipment.
