POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing various warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping goods. They manage the physical movement, staging, and organization of items within the warehouse. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist supports both inbound and outbound processes by efficiently and safely loading, unloading, and handling materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Operates forklifts or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loads and unloads trucks; verify and inspect incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Performs put-away, replenishment, and order picking tasks with accuracy and care.
- Accurately processes shipments using Radio Frequency Scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Follows standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Communicates low stock or damages to the warehouse team lead.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization, and safe conditions in work areas.
- Maintains a clean and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Assists in conducting cycle counts and reporting stock discrepancies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
- Successfully passes background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience.
- Forklift and equipment certification preferred.
- Proficient in using Radio Frequency Scanners and basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.

The Warehouse Specialist primarily works in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, sit, climb, crouch and/or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 49 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds with a team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
