We are currently hiring a Warehouse Manager to join our team. The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of the warehouse activities. This role is responsible for managing inventory, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations that meet company targets. The ideal candidate will combine leadership skills with operational expertise to drive productivity and continuous improvement. Successful candidate will work out of our branch located in Port Coquitlam.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Minimize waste, spoilage, and obsolete stock through effective inventory practices.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, ensuring proper inspection and documentation.
- Manage the timely and accurate dispatch of outbound orders.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and carriers for efficiency and reliability.
- Optimize warehouse layout to improve workflow, safety and storage capacity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment that meets operational standards.
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, including assigning duties, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations.
- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Use Data and KPIs to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts and conveyor systems) is maintained and functional.
- Collaborate with sales, and production teams to align operations and meet customer delivery timelines.
- Communicate proactively with other departments to resolve delays, shortages or order discrepancies.
- Ensure warehouse operations meet or exceed productivity and service level targets.
- Track operational metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
- 5-7 years' experience in warehouse management or operations leadership.
- Post secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, operations Management, or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving processes, and warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Solid understanding of health and safety, and compliance regulations in a warehouse or distribution environment.
