The Valve and Control Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing valves, actuators, and control systems in industrial settings. This role ensures the proper functioning of critical components, performs troubleshooting, and supports maintenance activities to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Install, maintain, and repair valves, actuators, and control systems for various industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with valves, control systems, and related mechanical components.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on valve and control systems.
- Calibrate and adjust control devices, ensuring compliance with operational specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to support system upgrades or improvements.
- Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are adhered to during maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance with other team members as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or mechanical systems is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in valve maintenance, control systems, or mechanical troubleshooting.- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and valve operation.
- Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking for shift lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
