Description Utility Asset Manager
Under the direction of the Utility Director, the purpose of the position is to manage all activities related to asset management and system performance in the City’s Utilities Department which currently has a five-year CIP exceeding $500 million. Employees in this classification function at middle management and are responsible for developing and overseeing the Utilities Department asset management programs, system performance metrics, five and ten-year financial plans, annual budget, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and overseeing inventory functions and utility business operations processes such as purchase requisitions and application of expense categories. Position also assists with developing, implementing and evaluating operational policies, procedures, and standards in the Utility Department.
Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or related field required, master’s degree in business or related field preferred. Ten years of experience in utilities, preferably water/wastewater to include five years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Professional Engineering License required and must obtain licensing in the State of Florida within six (6) months of employment.
Expected starting salary to be $130,000 to $150,000 depending upon qualifications and experience.
