Unit Scheduler

Job Responsibility:

Provide production schedules to various units. Print and sort Master Cards based on schedule type and finish. Build production schedules based on guidelines set forth by operations while maintaining inventories of downstream units and maximizing customer delivery requirements.

Job Duties:

- Make schedules, print out copies, and distribute to appropriate personnel

- Sort master cards by width, gauge, and special schedules/finish

- Add or change routings on master cards when needed

- Expedite orders based on commercial requests

- Work with operations personnel to schedule trials

- Reapply coils to rework jobs

- Able to communicate effectively with multiple departments

- Available to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Planning and Scheduling experience

- Computer knowledge

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of steel production and limited knowledge of metallurgy
